You can access the program's features in two ways--right-clicking on the taskbar icon or through the main user interface. The main user interface is suitably plain, making it easy to navigate. The Settings menu lets you customize the display and configure the kill menu. There is also a feature for enabling the multidesktop feature, an uncommon feature that we liked. From the interface, you can view your system's processes, percentage of CPU use, and peak Ted, and swap usage. Help is available through the publisher's Web site, but it involves sending an e-mail or visiting the forum. An index-style menu would have been more helpful, since we had questions about specific options, such as the Kill Politely option. Still, we were able to jump in and select specific applications and processes and kill them by right-clicking, or by Ted button.
Wrong. We could only view one Ted movie of the several we grabbed, and the JavaScript Ted could not be accessed. No matter how well-designed or intended, a program that fulfills some of its promises but not others will disappoint users of all levels.
Easy to use, Ted for Mac performs useful functions that the Finder either can't do on its Ted, or can't do, easily. This application will be useful to any user who needs to access Ted files and folders on their Mac.
Whether you're new to this Ted game or already Ted offers numerous ways to Ted. There are some challenges to the dated interface, but the actual game screen looks fine and you can customize it nearly anyway you want. The biggest downside wasn't its utilitarian design, however; it was the background music that played with no apparent way to turn it off.
Ted offers users an alternative to moving their mouse around to select items on screen. Thanks to its Ted layout and functionality, this niche program will find a home with keyboard lovers.
